All PepsiCo beverage operations in Russia are a joint venture of PepsiCo and The Pepsi Bottling Group (PBG) – PepsiCo's only authorized bottler in the country. PBG is responsible for manufacturing, selling and distributing Pepsi-Cola beverages in Russia and employing 5,000 people.
PepsiCo is best known for its carbonated soda drinks, including Pepsi-Cola, Pepsi Light, Pepsi Twist, Pepsi Max, Mountain Dew, Mirinda, and 7UP. In addition to these drinks our fastest growing segment of business is non-carbonated beverages, including Russia's number one brand of bottled water Aqua Minerale, the ubiquitous sports drink Gatorade, the energy drink Adrenaline Rush and our growing portfolio of Tropicana fruit juices and Lipton Ice Teas.
Frito-Lay snacks first appeared in Russia in 1995. In 2002, PepsiCo began local production and invested over 100 million dollars to build a salty snack manufacturing facility in Kashira, near Moscow. The result of this investment was one of the largest and most modern snack manufacturing sites both in Russia and continental Europe.
Today PepsiCo is among the top global FMCG companies in Russia, recognized as the fastest growing business among all macro snacks companies in the country. Our products can be found in 98% of retail outlets across Russia.
Since our entry into the Russian market, PepsiCo and Pepsi Bottling Group, its local bottling partner, have been investing to build businesses that can successfully serve the needs of Russian consumers for many decades to come.
