PepsiCo Beverages and Foods Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Gary Rodkin accepted the Chicago Business Opportunity Fair's (CBOF) Success Award in April 2004 on behalf of PepsiCo. The award recognizes exemplary efforts by a corporation that successfully integrates minority suppliers into all areas of its supply chain. Rodkin shared PepsiCo's vision and continued commitment to supplier diversity, which is expected to grow at a rate of 12 percent a year. Also recognized at the luncheon was Leatha King, supplier diversity liaison and buyer - PBF, as Outstanding Buyer.
The 37th annual CBOF -- sponsored by the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council, an affiliate of the NMSDC -- brings together minority-owned business suppliers and corporate purchasing personnel. Quaker and PepsiCo have been active members and supporters of this council since its inception. Members of PepsiCo's Supplier Diversity team represented the company with a booth during the three-day fair to further develop relationships and create additional business opportunities
