As part of our Responsible & Sustainable Sourcing (RSS) strategy at PepsiCo, we are committed to working in partnership with our suppliers to follow a specific code of conduct in the areas of employee labor conditions, health & safety, environmental management and business integrity, all part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) assurance program. We have updated our policies to simplify communications about PepsiCo's values and how they extend to our supply chain partners.
Additionally, in 2007 PepsiCo joined Sedex (www.sedex.org.uk) as the means for our supplier community to articulate and verify their activity in the areas of employee labor conditions, health & safety, environmental management and business integrity. Sedex is the standard tool we are using to gain visibility into our supply chain regarding these issues in a consistent and reportable manner. PepsiCo is pleased to be working with Sedex and other firms committed to making the assessment process easier for suppliers. We encourage our suppliers to work with these partners, as well, to identify improvement opportunities, and facilitate corrective action plans to drive 'Performance with Purpose' - achieving business and financial success while leaving a positive imprint on society - throughout our supply chain.
PepsiCo Supplier Code of Conduct
This Supplier Code of Conduct sets forth the business conduct standards to which PepsiCo expects its suppliers to adhere. This Code covers suppliers, vendors, contractors, consultants, agents and other providers of goods and services who do, or seek to do, business with PepsiCo entities worldwide.
Many of the areas covered in the code are easily understood and simple to follow, but some may require more clarification or additional discussion to gain a common understanding. If you have any further queries about this process, please contact your buyer, category captain or PepsiCo's Responsible & Sustainable Sourcing team via responsiblesourcing@pepsi.com.
