Earlier this summer, PepsiCo published its first-ever Sustainable Agriculture brochure. The document, produced by PepsiCo’s internal Sustainable Agriculture Council and Strategic Communications, highlights the importance of sustainable agriculture to the business and gives examples of some of PepsiCo's work around the world.

• A new way of growing rice in India saved more than seven billion liters of water last year
• Oats help stabilize soil and prevent erosion
• PepsiCo has developed tools to increase fungicide use efficiency in Russia, the UK and Egypt
• PepsiCo China developed a highly productive method of growing potatoes, wheat and corn in desert conditions in inner Mongolia

PepsiCo's Environmental Sustainability goals are focused on the areas where, because of our expertise, we can have the most impact: water, climate change, agriculture and packaging. Among these goals, we state that we strive to apply proven sustainable agriculture practices on our farmed land, and to provide funding, technical support and training to local farmers. The report is an important tool in our stakeholder engagement strategy and has been shared with key contacts and stakeholders around the world.
