As part of PepsiCo’s ongoing commitment to developing, mentoring and fostering STEM talent, the company held its second annual Student Engineering Challenge in partnership with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), an organization focused on giving female engineers a stronger voice within the industry.
Finalists took center stage at SWE’s WE16 Conference, the world’s largest engineering and technology conference and career fair for women. There, they were tasked with leveraging their STEM expertise to uncover new ways to improve the performance of PepsiCo’s fountain equipment. The winners, selected by a panel of PepsiCo engineers, offered an efficient, environmentally friendly take on traditional dispensing machines.
