Pepsi Anthems artists Kelly Clarkson, Ice Cube and Travie McCoy mingled with National Football League (NFL) legends Amani Toomer, Deion Sanders, Tim Brown, Dermontti Dawson and Barry Sanders last night, Sept. 4, at the Pepsi NFL Anthems Kickoff Eve celebration at the Hard Rock Café in New York City.
Earlier this month, Pepsi and the NFL announced the launch of the Pepsi NFL Anthems program, with originally created hometown team anthems by Kelly Clarkson (Dallas Cowboys), Ice Cube (Oakland Raiders), Travie McCoy (New York Giants) and Kid Rock (Detroit Lions), and a remixed version of Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow.” As part of the program, fans can also enter to win a trip to Super Bowl XLVII.
"Pepsi is all about capturing the excitement of now, and our consumers embrace the idea of living each moment to the fullest. There are no more passionate 'Live For Now' moments than those found in the worlds of sports and music," said Angelique Krembs, vice president, marketing, Pepsi. "The Pepsi NFL Anthems program brings those worlds together, driving fan engagement and excitement in a way that only Pepsi can."
The Pepsi NFL Anthems Kickoff event is a part of the 2012 NFL Kickoff week-long celebration leading into the season opener between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys tonight, Sept. 5.
