This year, PepsiCo celebrated its golden anniversary as a combined food and beverage company by looking back at its biggest milestones, celebrating employees all over the world, and delighting consumers with delicious surprises. From ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange to creating a virtual scrapbook filled with memorable moments, these celebratory experiences are not only a way to commemorate 50 years of success—they are also inspiring the company’s future.

Celebrating Milestone Moments

Over the past 50 years, the PepsiCo family has grown to include 22 billion-dollar brands—all with the help of inspiring leaders, amazing ad campaigns, and some incredible partnerships. PepsiCo took a look back at these landmark occasions and pivotal people through a dynamic animated timeline.

Celebrating with PepsiCo Employees

On June 8, the company’s official 50th anniversary, Chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi rang the New York Stock Exchange opening bell, along with a group of employees who have been with PepsiCo since its start as a combined food and beverage company in 1965. Throughout the year, employees all over the world were able to share their celebratory photos on a new “People of PepsiCo” intranet site that shares a glimpse of life inside the global company.



Celebrating with Consumers

PepsiCo fans got to join in on the 50th fun. Throughout the week of the 50th anniversary, restaurants across the country offered PepsiCo-inspired food and drink specials (and shared their recipes) for all to enjoy. PepsiCo’s social media team surprised and delighted Twitter users who tweeted about their own anniversaries with gift cards, concert tickets, personalized well-wishes, and more. Some of the biggest surprises were courtesy of star athletes like the Kansas City Royals’ Eric Hosmer and J.D. Martinez of the Detroit Tigers, who invited lucky fans to watch them play live.
