Seventy years ago today, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) – a milestone document that established the inalienable rights that we all enjoy regardless of our race, religion, sex, origin, or other status. At its very core, the UDHR recognizes the inherent dignity of every human being, and its principles are as relevant today as they were when it was adopted in 1948.

At PepsiCo, with operations across the globe, we share in the tenets of the Declaration to respect each other, act with integrity, work responsibly on behalf of our shareholders, and most importantly, ensure ethics is part of all our business activities. These principles are core to our company, and Performance with Purpose which reinforces our long-standing commitment to respect human rights throughout our value chain.

In observance of Human Rights Day 2018, we would like to share an update on our human rights program:

While PepsiCo strives to advance respect for human rights every day, we can also take action in our own lives to uphold the rights that protect us all. You can promote the UDHR by recording yourself reading an article from the Declaration in your native language and uploading it to the UN’s Add Your Voice Project.
