Performance with Purpose, introduced by then CEO, Indra Nooyi, positions PepsiCo for long-term success and ingraining sustainability into our daily business operations.
PepsiCo invests in growing its nutrition business with the acquisition of Naked Juice.
The PepsiCo Foundation becomes the first supporter of Water.org's WaterCredit program. WaterCredit focuses on water access & sanitation in developing countries.
PepsiCo Latin America and the Young Americas Business Trust launched the Eco-Challenge, a competition to create innovative business plans designed to address sustainable development challenges.
PepsiCorps, a global volunteer program, is created by a group of associates.
For its contribution to sustainable water management, improved performance in production, and innovative approaches in water process technologies.
Now known as our Sustainable Farming Program (SFP), SFP aims to improve crop yields and growers' livelihoods; increase environmentally responsible practices; and uphold workers' human rights. PepsiCo has implemented SFP across 15 countries.
Drinkfinity launches in Brazil. In its first year, Drinkfinity used 27 tons less of PET & its packaging produced 141 tons less of CO2 greenhouse gas emissions than a comparable ready-to-drink offering.
PepsiCo announces it reached its goal of providing safe water access to more than 6MM people a year ahead of schedule. In 2016, the original goal was exceeded as this work reached 9MM people.
PepsiCo announces their global sustainability agenda, which is focused on creating a healthier relationship between people and food, including specific 2025 goals to expand PepsiCo's range of more nutritious food and beverage options, contribute to a more sustainable global food system and help make local communities more prosperous.
