Open Innovation

The Open Innovation platform helps PepsiCo with scouting for new innovations against the current needs of our External Innovation (XI) team within PepsiCo's Global R&D organization. Potential partners can learn on the platform how to submit proposals for an innovation in process and equipment, ingredients and flavors, packaging and materials or sustainability and agriculture.

Supplier Sustainability

Supplier engagement on sustainability is important to PepsiCo's progress toward our pep+ goals on climate and regenerative agriculture. To foster collaboration and engagement on sustainability, PepsiCo has created a robust portfolio of resources which live on PepsiCo's Sustainability Action Center.

Our asks of suppliers

1. Calculate your greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions footprint and report it to PepsiCo
2. Set a Science-Based Target (SBT) in line with the guidance set forth by the Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTi)
3. Share your SBT-aligned decarbonization plan 
4. Develop an action plan for sustainable ingredients and regenerative agriculture acres (for agriculture suppliers)
5. Respond to the annual pep+ survey to report progress against targets and plans
6. Engage in PepsiCo programs such as Guidehouse's Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition (SLoCT) and pep+ REnew to enable your company to progress in your climate journey
